My life’s journey has explored many new paths, with creativity as the consistent thread weaving through it all. I've always had a passion for learning new things, and that passion remains strong today. Exploration turns into in-depth study, which then transforms into something unique or new. This pattern repeats itself in everything I do.

 

Since childhood, I’ve always been drawn to drawing—delicate, intricate illustrations made with pencil, pen, or ink. I created my own worlds, imagined new lands, and even designed unique scripts for them. I sketched countless dancing or gymnastic figures, often while half-listening to lessons in school.

 

The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp opened up a whole new world for me. During those years, I was able to further develop my skills and truly understand what it means to draw. Afterward, I enjoyed working on small projects that allowed me to explore various techniques of expression: murals, wedding and birth cards, cartoons. I also taught workshops in drawing, decorative techniques, and even papermaking. In those early years, I even held an exhibition with my grandmother.

 

A new phase of life began when I had children and stepped into education. My creativity found its outlet both at home and in my work. In the many diverse roles I took on over the years, I always gravitated toward developmental work. Free drawing and painting, or taking on a commission, became activities reserved for vacation periods. A few years ago, I painted a delightful mural in Rivel (Southern France) and illustrated a book to which I also contributed as a co-author.

 

Now, my children are in their early twenties. They are the love of my life and my greatest motivation. Thanks to them, I was able to make a fresh start in 2024 with the exhibition Poetry of Poses in Deurne. Through this website, I invite you into my world of form and line, of stories and poetry.
